We are now delivering around 25 sessions for young LGBTQ people in Cornwall every month, these include the sessions at our own youth centre, family days, school and college lunch time groups as well as LGBTQ awareness to over 5000 young people each year in schools.

Truro and Penwith College, we are delighted that working in partnership with Truro and Penwith College we are now providing lunchtime LGBTQ groups at Penzance and Truro.
Our Annual General Meeting will be held in Truro at 6pm on Thursday 9th November, this is an opportunity to hear our annual reports and for decisions about the organisation to be made.
We have started new lunchtime sessions in conjunction with Truro and Penwith College.... We are now delivering around seven sessions a month in Cornwall!
We are currently looking for Youth Workers to join our team, if you are interested in applying please complete this form. We will consdier applications from people who may or may not have a specific youth work qualification, if anyone is interested and thinks they may have the relevant skills please submit an application, feedback will be provided to all applicants.
Cornwall Pride, we will not be taking an organised group to Cornwall Pride this year. If you are thinking of attending this years event check out facebook for our advice on keeping safe at Pride. The Intercom Trust will have a stand at the event and they can provide support and advice for everyone not just young people why not visit them and say hi!.

Plymouth Pride, we will be taking a group of youth group members on the train to Plymouth Pride on Sat.5th August, members of the group can put themselves on the list in the members only facebook group, if you are not on facebook then you can email us. We are unlikely to be able to take everyone who will want to go so we are also hoping that parents and guardians who are able to take thier children will then meet up with us there. Those who we are able to take will be informed nearer the time.

Because we have so many young people using the service now we have introduced additional sessions however some of these are now age specific so there are sessions for under 16's and separate sessions for those who are 16 and above. From February 2017 we will also be offering youth group sessions to all LGBTQ+ young people who are secondary school age, so please note that sessions will be separated by relevant school year groups. Young people in year 7, 8 & 9 who are under 13 will need to contact us before attending sessions

Our AGM was held in County Hall Truro on Thrsday 12th November. Reports were heard about the organisation and a new trustee welcomed to the management committee. The highlight was hearing a young person give thier own testimonial in person.

We are putting together a new schedule of members sessions, there is a trans session on 13th January 6pm-9pm where there will be a focus group on the schools guidance that is currently being reviewed and revised for the latest edition being produced. This guidance was originally produced two years ago in conjunction with the youth group, Cornwall Council, Devon & Cornwall Police and The Intercom Trust and edited by two of our trustees, the guidance is nationally and internationally recognised as good practice, has won a number of awards and is frequently used to the benefit of trans students and teachers.
This time of year can be hard for some LGBTQ people with the added pressures of family life especially if you are not 'out' to some or all of your family. We have a full range of sessions throughout December if you want to talk with someone who should understand. At YAY! you can be Young and Yourself! throughout the year.
We will be featured on BBC Radio Cornwall during the week leading up to Children in Need night on 14th November, Children in Need are our major funding provider. THANK YOU! to everyone who supports Children in Need.

We enjoyed taking part in Cornwall Pride and having a stand in the park. We raised over £120 running a tombola and this money will be used to fund a visit to the panto at Christmas for some members.

We have been awarded some funding to provide LGBT awareness sessions in schools and colleges in Cornwall from the Police and Crime Commissioner.

The annual quiz season concluded at Bar Qdos in Truro with prizes awarded to many of the competing teams, YAY were very pleased to have dontations from some of the winners, Matt, Steve, John, Martin, Debbie, Simon and Steve and others donated thier prizes to Cornwall Pride.
is LGBT History Month and we are involved in a number of activities to celebrate, the young people have had a session to start the month looking at LGBT history, we are celebrating our 5th anniversary by holding a LGBT History month reception and film night for everyone involved in running the group including trustees, advisors, sponsors, funders and friends and towards the end of the month we will be contributing to an LGBT PACT meeting at New County Hall in Truro.

Exeter Pride is on Saturday 23rd March, this is the first Pride event of the season, parade starts at 1pm from St. Sidwell Centre, market place, information stalls and entertainment in the Pheonix Centre 2pm-5pm.
Friday 1st March Same Sex Marriage Debate, Falmouth Uni Woodlane Campus organised by the debating society contact Thomas Pike Debating Union President 07785586938 if you are interested in attending. The debate will be co-chaired/attended by Sarah Newton MP as was the case in Truro, and will take place in Woodlane Campus lecture theatre in Falmouth from 17:00-18:30pm, followed by a wine reception
Sarah Newton who is he MP for Truro and Falmouth in Cornwall. She is holding two public meetings which she will chair jointly with the Bishop of Truro. This will be an opportunity for members of the public to express their views and for her to find out more about the issues surrounding the proposals and to hear from representatives of national organisations who hold different views. The meetings will take place at 10:00 - 12:00 and 18:00 - 20:00 on Friday 18th January 2013 at Diocesan House, Truro. LGBTQ Youth Cornwall supports young people between the ages of 13 and 25 we are especially interested in providing those young people with a voice. We will be attending the meetings and would like to be able to take your views forward in order to ensure that our voices are heard. Please take the time to complete the questionnaire as honestly as possible.

Cornwall Pride 2012
This year we will be taking part in Cornwall Pride again, we will need consent forms returned by all members who want to be on the Cornwall Pride bus. Everyone is welcome to be in the parade and we will have YAY banners and in the park we will have a stand with information about the group where our youth workers will be, please come along and spend some time with us.
The Co-op have agreed to fund 'film night' for the next year, this will enable us to build a library of LGBT movies and continue with our monthly sessions which are held on the third Thursday of each month.
Cornwall Crimebeat have agreed to fund the purchace of a badge making machine so we can make badges to sell at Cornwall Pride and other events.
We have found a new venue in Camborne to hold our outreach sessions to join the sessions in Bude & Bodmin. We have previously run session in Falmouth, Saltash, St Austell, Hayle and Launceston.
